Softwashing Biogrowth Treatment
Render absorbs organic growth over time — mould, algae, and lichen that painting over will only hide temporarily.
Our soft wash method uses an HSE-approved biocide to treat the problem at the source, working beneath the surface rather than just cleaning what's visible.

Biogrowth in Render
Black, green, or red patches on render are a sign of biogrowth — a combination of mould, algae, and lichen caused by the cycle of sun and rain on a porous surface. Painting over it only hides the problem; the growth comes back through within months.
A professional soft wash treatment removes biogrowth at the source and protects your render from the scarring and erosion that untreated growth causes over time. We use a two-phase process to restore the surface properly.

Phase 1
Treatment Application
We apply a bleach-free, HSE-approved treatment that's safe for your home and the surrounding environment. The treatment works over 6–8 weeks to fully eliminate moss, algae, and mould.

Phase 2
Treating Localised Staining
Where surface scarring remains after the treatment phase, we apply a licensed oxidiser and use steam cleaning where needed to restore the render's appearance as fully as possible.
